Memories
Today, I was looking through pictures from my senior year for my high school’s softball alumni game. They made me really sad and nostalgic for 2 reasons:
1. Senior year was amazing
2. I WAS SO TAN AND SKINNY

A letter for me?
Dear Kara:
Uuuuuh what are you doing? Don’t you have a 6 page paper that’s due in just about 12 hours that you haven’t even started yet? Good job! Keep up this work ethic, or lack there of, for spring semester, and you will approach summer looking like this:
Because let’s face it. If you procrastinate as much as you are right now, spring semester ‘10 will eat you...

I need to say this
When it comes to the concept of death, wouldn’t you much rather it be a “see you later?” than an utlimate goodbye?
There is a solution.
When our loved ones pass on, we don’t have to say goodbye! Jesus died on a cross and rose again so we could have eternal life in Him. Death was conquered! Jesus is King, and He wants us to live with Him in Heaven when our time on earth...
I’m going to flash them…my smile and they’ll let me [in].

Kids Say the Darndest Things
So every week, I go play with the kindergarten and first grade students at my church’s school. I love them to death, but sometimes they say stuff that I would never in a million years expect to come out of that young of a mouth. I’ve decided that I will share a few with you, my dear readers.
“Miss Kara, once, I got hit in the privates with a dodgeball and I didn’t even...

There's never a right time to say goodbye
A wonderful weekend ended on a very bittersweet note as my best friend, Michelle, spent her last night in the states before taking off for a semester abroad Bilbao, Spain. It’s going to be tough not being able to drop her a text whenever I want to complain about someone, or be able to hit up the terrible 18+ LA clubs when we want to dance to Top 40 garbage. But I am SO excited/jealous of...

Time for Change
So as I mentioned in my last post, my weight is getting a little too high for my liking. Yes, I know that I am not morbidly obese, but I was definitely about 10 pounds thinner a year ago. And after looking at some pictures of me from recent events, it is evident that the freshman 15 are finally catching up to me. So with that, I plan on going on a diet that requires me to blatantly cut back on...
Winter Break Recap
Sorry it’s been so long since I last posted, my 6 faithful readers. I start interterm tomorrow, so you’ll probably be hearing a lot more from me as a method of procrastination.
So 2010! It is here! The new decade! I rang it in at a lovely gathering at my dear friends’ apartment. I was happy to not be at work, even though I had to be there at 9 in the morning. Oh, Knott’s....
The scale does not lie. It is time to lose some weight.
